Troy DeCaire Enters 25th Annual Chili Bowl with Acceleration Racing.

2010 Must See Racing Xtreme Sprints Series champion Troy DeCaire today announced that he will be competing in the 25th Annual Chili Bowl on January 15, 2011 with Wisconsin-based Acceleration Racing. The team has entered a Mopar-powered Stealth chassis for DeCaire.

"This is a great day for me as there are two places I've wanted to race at my whole life, the Chili Bowl and Indianapolis Motor Speedway," said DeCaire. "I could hardly believe it when I got the call from the Slotten family asking me if I would drive their car. Their Mopar-powered Stealth is stout, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can do with it. I know I've got my work cut out for me, but these guys are up for the challenge and so am I."

Widely recognized as the holy grail of midget racing, the Chili Bowl has been an open wheel short track institution since 1987. With such open wheel stars as five-time Chili Bowl champ Sammy Swindell on the entry list, it is small wonder why 15,000 spectators pack the Tulsa State Fairgrounds Quick Trip Center.

"Earlier this year when I sold everything I had to move to Indiana, it was for opportunities like this," continued DeCaire. "I would like to thank John Slotten first and foremost for allowing me to drive his car. I would also like to thank Acceleration Cycles, Dreher Collision Center, 3 Wide Life, K&N Filters, and Joe Gibbs Driven for helping make this happen. It means a lot to me to have great companies like this behind me."

The 25th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals takes place on January 15, 2011 at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds Quick Trip Center. The top three finishers from each of the Qualifying Night features will automatically lock into the Saturday night, January 15, Lucas Oil Chili Bowl championship feature, with the balance of Saturday's Lucas Oil championship feature events lined up according to Qualifying Night finishes.
