Jason Feger collects $2,000 in weekly victory at Spoon River Speedway
Taking in a pair of weekly events over the weekend, Jason Feger unloaded his No. 25 machine at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) on Friday afternoon.
With 20 Late Models on the grounds, Feger set the bar in his qualifying group before dominating his heat race. Rolling off from the second-row in the 30-lap main event, Jason battled back and forth in the Top-3 before sneaking into the lead on lap 18. Outrunning Daniel Adam and Tommy Sheppard Jr., Feger pulled away and led the final 12 laps to secure his fourth victory of the season and a $2,000 payday.
Hoping for the same result at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday night, Feger started the $2,500-to-win feature from fourth and made up one spot to land on the podium in third. He trailed Garrett Alberson and Myles Moos.
