Lawrence Scores Sixth-Place Finish With NOW600 Series at Superbowl

Inside Line Promotions – GREENVILLE, Texas (July 11, 2017) – Zane Lawrence jumped back behind the wheel of a winged micro sprint last Saturday at Superbowl Speedway.

Lawrence opened the night with a pill draw that lined him up on the inside of the second row in a heat race. He finished third, which started him on the outside of the third row in the NOW600 North Texas Region A Main.

“We got up to second in the heat race, but weren’t able to hold off one of the guys that was charging hard,” he said. “We had a pretty good starting spot for the feature and thought we had a top-three car.”

Lawrence capped the event with a sixth-place finish, which marked his fourth top 10 of the season.

“We had a good car and began to pick off and battle for positions, but we weren’t able to make enough gains for a top-three finish,” he said. “I have to give a big thanks to my buddy, Morgan Roan, for letting me race his micro sprint for a few races. We’re having a lot of fun with it and hopefully we can dial it in for some wins.”

Lawrence will be back in a 305ci sprint car this Saturday at Abilene Speedway in Abilene, Texas, with the Texas Sprint Series.
