Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (June 12, 2017) – Channin Tankersley will nearly double his number of races competed in this season once he completes a five-race week.

Tankersley will pilot a sprint car for Bruce Griffith this Tuesday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas; Wednesday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; and Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek before he shifts his focus to ASCS Gulf South Region competition on Friday at Bronco Motor Speedway in Cleveland, Texas, and Saturday at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas.

“I’m excited because it’s the most I’ve raced in a while,” he said. “After our last showing I feel like we’re pretty stable.”

Tankersley has seven races under his belt this season, including two podiums and three straight top 10s in four races with Griffith.

“We’ve had good runs at Devil’s Bowl and we’ve run well at Lawton,” Tankersley said. “I don’t have a lot of experience at Creek County so I’m going in there with an open mindset.”

Tankersley captured an eighth-place result during his most recent race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

A pair of ASCS Gulf South Region races near his hometown will wrap up the weekend.

“I like Battleground, which is near our shop,” he said. “It’s been pretty decent to me as of late. And we haven’t raced very often at Bronco Motor Speedway, but we finished third there last year with the ASCS National Tour.”

Tankersley earned a win at Battleground Speedway last season.
