Stanbrough Joins Thomas at Michael Dutcher Motorsports
Michael Dutcher Motorsports is proud to announce that the team has hired Jon Stanbrough of Avon, IN to drive a second Michael Dutcher prepared Fisher Racing Engines Maxim in 2014! Stanbrough will join ten time winner in 2013 Kevin Thomas Jr, who will return to the 17RW for the 2014 season. A sponsorship package put together by Michael Dutcher and Jon Stanbrough which includes MP Environmental Services, Indiana Underground, five time SCRA champion "The Gas Man" Richard Griffin and Mike McGhee have allowed the team to add the second entry. RW and TriStar Motorsports will also return to both cars. Joining Dutcher on the wrenches will once again be AJ Bray and Sammy McGhee.
Longtime motorsports supporter MP Environmental Services will step in to back Jon Stanbrough's efforts for the season and Michael Dutcher adds to the team's existing sponsorship list Terry Riggs with Indiana Underground, "The Gas Man" Richard Griffin with Griffin's Propane, Mike McGhee with Mike McGhee & Associates, Russell Carswell with East Coast Cycle and Muscle, and The Walt James Vintage Sprint Car Legacy.
"I'm thrilled to have Jon Stanbrough join this team," states Michael Dutcher. "Jon is one of the greatest non-wing sprint car drivers of all time and adding Richard Griffin to come in and help my team is a dream come true! These are two guys that I've looked up to as professionals on and off the race track and both will end up in the Hall of Fame. We are also excited that Blackjack Oil will return to the team to back Kevin Thomas Jr. Kevin did a fantastic job for us last year. He won a lot of big races for us. He's capable of winning on any night and capable of winning the national championship for us. Both teams will compete for the USAC National Championship."
