Tough outing for TBJ at Stuart
Tom Berry Jr. took on Iowa’s Stuart Speedway on Friday, but his evening in the track’s Blackberry Brandy Brawl came to an unfortunate early end.
Berry, who was among 18 IMCA Modified competitors at the quarter-mile oval, grabbed the checkered flag in his heat race and started fifth in the 25-lap A-Main. However, Berry was collected in another car's spin while passing for second on the first lap and recorded a DNF in the $2,000-to-win race.
Ultimately, Berry was scored 17th in the final rundown.
