Buzzy Adams begins 2022 season at East Bay Raceway Park

Kevin kicked off his 2022 racing season at the 46th annual Winternationals at the East Bay Raceway Park just outside of Tampa, Florida this past week, and after a solid practice night on Monday night, the Tuesday night portion of the week was rained out, so action kicked off on Wednesday. Wednesday saw Kevin miss qualifying and have to start at the tail of a heat race, which he rallied forward from his 10th to 4th, putting him on the pole of a b-main. He dominated the b to win it and qualify for the night's feature, where he started 21st and rallied forward to record a top five finish, crossing the line 5th.

Thursday, he was the fastest in his group, ran third in his heat race and again had to charge through traffic from his 13th starting spot in the feature to come home 6th when the checkered flag flew.

Friday, he qualified third in his group, ran third in his heat race and after starting 14th in the feature, he was caught up in a crash, which damaged his nose, forcing him into the work area. He restarted at the tail, but was one lap down, making 13th the best he could finish in the feature.

Saturday, he made the top 6 and redrew the pole for the 75-lap, $5,000 to win finale and raced inside the top five all feature event long, most of the time challenging for the top spot. As the laps wound down, he found himself in second and tried feverishly to make the outside come in, but came up just a bit short of three-peating, settling for second, capping off a solid week for the BAR team.
