Lovelace hits the track running
Well, last night was my second time getting back in the race car for a race following surgery. Our first night back, the motor wasn’t wanting to run right, so we only ran hot laps and then loaded up. Through the week, the motor was repaired and found 2 bent valves were found and replaced. So we worked from noon yesterday to about 3:30 putting the motor back in the car after extensive repairs. We made it to the track, fired it up and set the timing and everything, ran hot laps, and found out... THE MOTOR HAS BEEN FIXED! So very happy about that. We started 2nd row outside in the heat race and within 2 laps, took the lead and lead every lap after that. Started 2nd row inside in the A-Main, and ended up finishing 10th. We made some errors on the setup, but all in all... it was a good night for SNL Racing. HUGE THANKS to everyone that has helped us at the racetrack and outside of the racetrack to help us get ready, and certainly my Mom, Karen, and dad, Raymond, for all they do to keep our team afloat.
