Kellen Chadwick scores fifth-place finish in West Coast Nationals finale

Kellen did double duty this past weekend in his IMCA Modified and Stock Car at the West Coast Nationals at the Antioch Speedway in Antioch, CA.

Friday night, he won one of his qualifying Modified heat races and ran third in the other, putting him on the pole for the feature, but unfortunately, he fell out of the race before the checkered. In the Stock Car, he ran second and third in his qualifying heat races and ended up with a DQ in the night’s feature event.

Saturday, in the Mod, he ran second in both heat races and then ran inside the top ten in the feature all race long, crossing the finish line in 8th and in the Stock Car, he won one of his qualifying heats and ran fourth in the other, putting him 3rd in the starting line up for the feature – he would run inside the top 5 all race long, finishing 5th when the checkered flag flew.
