Schedule taking shape for 2024
Schedule taking shape for 2024 - March 8, 2024 (Little Rock, IA) The schedule is coming together for Matthew Lloyd Racing in 2024. Full weekly points runs at two tracks and some other area special events are on the calendar for the season.
Matthew will run for points full time at Plessis Motor Speedway and Kee Kart Speedway. Together, those events will add up to 20 events on the schedule this season. The goal for 2024 will be to finish top three in points at one track at least in order to qualify for the Race of Champions event at Golden Spike Speedway in September.
Beyond those events, we will look at a few special events in the area as well. None these are set in stone on our calendar, but all are potential events we are looking at.
In May, there is a Mid-Central Showdown Series event at University Plains Speedway. The big draw to this one is Matthew's desire to race in an event with qualifying!
In June, the Mid-Central Showdown Series race at Poplar Grove Speedway. We know we cannot make all of the series events, so we can pick in choose if we want to participate.
There is also one yet-to-be-scheduled special event on the front stretch of Kossuth Count Speedway during their fair we have an eye on.
We haven't yet seen a schedule for Cedar Lake Speedway's Indoor Arena, but we plan to hit some October shows there if we can.
We'll also wait and see if Interstate Speedway's new karting track will hold any winged events, and if so we will try to make it (pending at scheduling conflicts with Kee Kart Speedway)
