Bellm Set for ASCS National Tour Double this Weekend

Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (June 25, 2020) – Kyle Bellm and the No. 14e Sprint Car team takes on its first pair of Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour events of the season with two nights of bullring action in Kansas and Arkansas this weekend.

It begins with Thursday night’s tilt atop the ¼-mile Caney Valley Speedway just north of the Oklahoma-Kansas state line before shifting to Little Rock’s ¼-mile I-30 Speedway clay oval on Saturday night.

“These are the kind of track that we typically do pretty well at,” the Nixa, MO, racer says. “We’ve only been to Caney once, and we usually do pretty well at I-30. I’m looking forward to getting to a place that we’re familiar with.”

Bellm’s recent slated three-race weekend was reduced to just a Sunday night of Sprint Invaders competition at Moberly, Missouri’s Randolph County Raceway after mechanical issues derailed both Friday and Saturday plans.

Bell made the best of the Sunday, June 14, run, battling amongst the top five much of the way before settling for seventh at the stripe.

“We had a good car and ran around third or fourth most of the way,” Bellm recalls. “Then we got into a sliderfest and I put myself in a couple of bad places that cost us a couple of spots.

Bellm noted the positives of the night.

“It was our first night out with a new car and we learned some things,” Bellm says. “It will be good to get back to a somewhat regular schedule and get into a rhythm.”

The rhythm gets under way this weekend at Caney Speedway on Friday and then I-30 Speedway on Saturday.

The Kyle Bellm Racing efforts are made possible with support from marketing partners including Greenworks Nursery, Landscapes Awarded, Christian County Collision Repair, Bybee Lawn Care, PPG Automotive Finishes, Colorvision, Schure Built Suspensions, Schaeffers Racing Oil and Valley Park West Retirement Living.
