Inside Line Promotions – DODGE CITY, Kan. (June 2, 2025) – Jordon Mallett highlighted an ASCS National Tour weekend in Kansas with a top-10 result on Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park.

Mallett was quickest in his group’s qualifying session and he advanced from fourth to third place during a heat race. That earned enough points to make the dash.

“I’ve always felt we were pretty good at Dodge City,” he said. “We qualified really well and we heat raced pretty good. However, it was single file around the bottom, which made passing really tough. We drew the No. 5 for the dash and started fifth. They didn’t rework the track before the dash or B Main so it made it really tough.”

Mallett dropped a position to finish sixth in the dash.

“I expected after the dash and B Main they’d do track prep and for it to come back around for the feature, but it did the same thing,” he said. “It was around the infield tires and you just stay in line. That’s disappointing for everyone because that place is normally pretty racy.”

A seventh-place result was Mallett’s third top 10 of the season with the ASCS National Tour.

The weekend began on Friday at SaltCity Racing in Hutchinson, Kan., where Mallett made his debut. He was second quickest in his group’s qualifying session and ran second in a heat race.

“We timed in well, which is normally a strongsuit and something we need to do,” he said. “I felt pretty good as far as the race car goes. I thought the track was going to be abrasive and hard to race on and that proved true in the heat race. It had already laid rubber down and was tough starting on the inside. I had to jump in line quick and that’s what we did.

“They reworked the track for the feature and tried to get it a little better, but it wasn’t conducive to moving around or passing. I lost a couple of spots on the start and initial first corner, which was frustrating because I knew I wasn’t going to get those back unless someone made a mistake. Visibility was tough. There were times you couldn’t see your nose wing.”

Mallett held on for a 12th-place result.

An ASCS National Tour race at Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark., this Saturday is next. Mallett ran sixth at the track last year when he made his first start there in more than a decade.
