Starks Wins Grays Harbor Raceway Season Opener for First Time

Inside Line Promotions – ELMA, Wash. (April 26, 2022) – Trey Starks won his season-opening race for the first time in his career last Saturday at Grays Harbor Raceway.

Starks was efficient throughout the long night as he qualified seventh quickest. He then won a heat race after lining up on the outside of the front row.

“The track was challenging all night,” he said. “They got some new clay and it made for a rough night. Fortunately we were able to keep our nose clean each time we hit the track.”

The feature inversion was a zero, which made Starks line up on the inside of the fourth row in the A Main.

“We actually were in the lead before the first official lap,” he said. “There were several cautions and red flags when the race started. There were a couple during the race, which was shortened to 15 laps. I just tried to hit my marks and keep it on all fours and it worked out.”

Starks plans on returning to action this Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash.
