Kade Morton Grabs 10th Place Finish At Creek County Speedway With ASCS Red River

COWETA, Okla. (April 13, 2016) Taking on the ever tricky Creek County Speedway this past Friday night with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Product’s, Kade Morton raced the Morton Excavating No. 8m to a 10th place finish.
Earning a third place finish in his Heat Race, Passing Points put Morton starting 12th in the A-Feature.
“We had a good weekend. We would have liked to finish better but I should have tightened the car up a little more,” said Morton. “We were looking forward to Saturday, but we got rained out but overall, it was still a good weekend.”
Morton’s first Top 10 run of the year has moved the driver of the No. 8m to third in tour standings, 17 points behind brother and team mate, Chance Morton.
Looking to this coming weekend, Morton will strap back into the Midget for action at the Outlaw Motor Speedway, located just south of Muskogee, Okla. on Friday, April 15 and the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday, April 16 with the POWRi West Midgets.
“Getting back in the Midget this weekend, you know, my goal is to not waste opportunities. I need to be a little more aggressive with the car so we’ll see how it plays out at Outlaw and I-30.”
The 2016 season for Kade Morton will be a mixture of full time ASCS Red River action, OCRS Sprints, and Midget events throughout the mid-west.
