Michael Fanelli Parks it at the Sprint Car Stampede in Albuquerque
After many 2nd place Feature finishes over the past two years Michael finally parked it in the Winners Circle at the biggest race of the year at Sandia Speedway the 360 Non Wing Sprint Car Stampede. After winning the last heat race of the evening Michael found himself starting 8th for the main and a long way from the front row where Caleb Saiz was starting. Caleb got out to an early lead and once Michael worked his way to 2nd he started tracking down Caleb. A Caution flag came out with 11 laps to go and Michael restarted right behind Caleb. Michael got the jump and sailed into the lead in turn 1 and 2 and began to check out on the field. Another Caution with 3 laps to go once again bunched up the field with Caleb behind Michael and Shon Deskins lurking 3rd. Michael got a great restart and cruised to his first 360 Non Wing Main Event win. He jumped from the car on the front straight and climbed the fence for the fans. He was very thankful to the whole crew for giving him such a fast car.
