Daniel Nekolite
Family Tradition
The family of the late Danny Nekolite Sr. was recognized last Sunday, July 24, at the Stuart Raceway's Tribute Race in Stuart. Nekolite racing is a third generation racing team which was started by Danny Sr. Receiving the award in his honor were his grandson Dr. Daniel Nekolite of O'Neill and his son Dan Nekolite Jr. of Emmet. Racing has always been a passion for the Nekolite family. No one knows how many features Danny Sr. won over his 28-year racing career, but according to the raceway officials he has to be considered as one of the drivers with the most wins not only at Stuart, but also at the surrounding area tracks.
