FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

After a win at Circle City last weekend defending points champion Tyler Nicely was looking to continue his winning ways at Moler. Larry Pickleheimer put together some special money for the Modified drivers Friday night. This included a $1,000 to win dash for the top six qualifiers and $500 to each heat race winner.

Second fastest was Daniel Dehner at 14.063 seconds. This set up the stage for the $1,000 to win Dash and three heat races to set the field for the nights main event.

In the $1,000 to win Dash it was Brian Barber who muscled his way to the lead and took home the prize. In Hypercoils sponsored Heat Race #1 it was Parkersburg, WV driver KC Burdette that held off series points leader Brain Shaw for the win. Taylor Cook from Stanley, NC came home third. Jimmy Lennox took the final transfer spot to participate in the main event.

J.T. Ayers came from the third starting spot to win Willy’s Carb & Dyno Heat Race #2. Pete Holt finished second with Cole Falloway in third. American Modified Series regular Jason Highley finished fourth and nabbed the final transfer spot.

It took a VP Race Fuels B-Main to finish out the field for the nights $1,500 to win main event. Tyler Allison and Patrick Alcorn were the two to advance on to the main event. Point standings current runner up Richard Gibson had to take a provisional to make the show. Corey Skipton and Caleb Verdon were also award provisional starting spots.

After starting the feature in the third spot Tyler Nicely was able to pick up the win for his second in a row on the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series tour.
