Beard finishes fourth in Cotton Pickin' 100 at Magnolia

With a eighth-to-fourth run in his heat race pinning him on the seventh row for the feature, Beard gained two spots in the 30-lapper to register an 11th-place finish.
To kick off the Cotton Pickin’ 100 weekend on Friday, Kyle timed in ninth-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. With $4,000 on the line in the feature, Beard faded six spots to finish 15th.
On Saturday, Beard secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win Cotton Pickin’ 100 finale with a third-place finish in his heat. Advancing forward five positions in the 60-lap affair, Kyle raced to a fourth-place finish, which came behind Cade Dillard, Wil Herrington, and Billy Moyer Jr. with Josh Putnam coming in fifth.
