Hallstrom Progresses Throughout Season Opener at White Mountain Motorsports Park

Inside Line Promotions – NORTH WOODSTOCK, Maine (June 11, 2020) – Evan Hallstrom made the trip to White Mountain Motorsports Park last weekend to compete with the Pro All Star Series North for his first race of the season.

“It was definitely good to get back behind the wheel after all of this time off,” he said. “Everybody’s been off for so long that the driving was a bit crazy, but it happens and that’s just racing.”

Hallstrom kicked off Sunday’s action with a practice session, but the Hallstrom Motorsports team struggled to find the desired speed and the correct adjustments.

“I thought we had a good piece for practice, but we had a couple problems with speed and had a lack of forward bite all day long,” he said. “We made some changes for the heat race with the hopes that we’d make some ground.

“We had decent speed in the heat race, but only for a couple of laps. Then we ended up falling off and rode the rest of the race out to save our stuff for the consolation race.”

Hallstrom raced his way into the feature after starting eighth in the consolation race. He went on to gain a handful of positions in the feature to finish 23rd.

“We made some major changes for the consolation race and finally were able to make some ground,” he said. “We picked off a couple of cars and made it into the feature. We started dead last and rode it out. We were able to pick off a few more cars and end up 23rd. We improved over the weekend as best we could.”
