Runner-up finish in Port Royal season opener
Ross Robinson was joined by his wife and teammate Amanda on Sunday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the track’s 2023 season opener.
With 31 Late Models entered for the recently announced event paying $4,000 to the winner, Ross and Amanda raced their way into the main event with a pair of third-place finishes in their heat races. Amanda hung onto a sixth-place finish in the 25-lapper while Ross chased race-long pacesetter Dillan Stake to the checkers in the feature. Rick Eckert, Hayes Mattern, and Jeff Rine completed the top-five finishers.
