FEEL GOOD WIN FOR KUKOWSKI
Bismarck’s Austin Wiest led early in the INEX Legend feature. An early caution regrouped the field and on the restart, it was a three car battle for the lead between Austin Wiest, Donavin Wiest and Alex Kukowski. Donavin Wiest grabbed the lead as Kukowski and Austin Wiest continued to battle for second. Kukowski cleared Austin Wiest and started to reel in Donavin Wiest. Donavin Wiest and Kukowski raced side by side for most of the race. They continued to race door to door, slicing and dicing through lapped traffic. Using the highline, Kukowski grabbed the lead with three laps to go. Alex Kukowski held off Donavin Wiest to take home the feature victory. Drew Papke finished third while Preston Martin finished ahead of Nate Keena. Donavin Wiest’s runner up finish was enough to clinch the track championship over Preston Martin.
