Nobbe notches eighth-place finish in Johnny Appleseed Classic at Eldora

On Saturday afternoon, Dustin Nobbe kicked off his Memorial Day weekend at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) piloting his Nobbe Mower Shop No. 5 Crate Late Model. With a third-place finish in his heat race placing him on the third row for the feature, Dustin passed three cars in the 25-lapper to register a third-place finish. Pulling out his Super Late Model on Sunday, Nobbe headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, OH) for the Johnny Appleseed Classic. After getting behind the eight-ball in time trials, Dustin edged his way into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a fifth-place finish in his heat. With a new track surface making for rough track conditions, Nobbe advanced through the field 13 spots in the 30-lapper to finish eighth.
