Ken Schrader Returns to Merrittville on Saturday June 11
THOROLD, ONTARIO (May 31, 2022) … Racing legend Ken Schrader is making his anticipated return to the Merrittville Speedway on Saturday, June 11 as he will be competing in a 358 Modified. Schrader will be behind the wheel of a racecar owned by hall of famer “Mr. Small Block” Pete Bicknell. The Action Sprint Tour Fueled by Pinty’s will also be making their first appearance to make it a star-studded affair at “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track”.
The Fenton, MO driver visited victory lane at Merrittville in his only other appearance back on Victoria Day in 2019 with his UMP/DIRTcar Modified, holding off Dennis Lunger Jr in the process.
The Action Sprint Tour Fueled by Pinty’s Crate Sprint Car Series will also be headlining the show on June 11. Entering its fifth season, the AST race at Merrittville will pay a minimum of $1,000 to the winner. At the end of the season, the 2022 AST champion will be rewarded with $5,000 and a Pinty’s VIP package for the 2023 Bristol Dirt Race. The event on June 11 will be the first of three appearances by the Action Sprint Tour at Merrittville this season, with the other dates being July 16, and August 27.
Vansickle Pet Valu and PV on the Lane will be presenting the racing program that will also feature the annual Best Appearing Dog Contest, plus the second School Bus Race of the season. On track, the DIRTcar Sportsman, and 4 Cylidners will fill out the card with the 358 Modifieds, and the Action Sprint Tour.

Pit gates will open at 5:00pm, grandstands opening at 5:30, and racing will begin at 7:00pm on Saturday night at “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track”, Merrittville Speedway.
