Gary Cunningham Memorial plus Toonie Hot Dog Night this Coming Saturday Night

THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 20, 2022) … The Southern Ontario Sprints will be making their third visit of the season to the Merrittville Speedway this coming Saturday night for the annual running of the Gary Cunningham Memorial. Cotton Inc. will be presenting the racing action that will also feature another Tim Hortons Enduro qualifier accelerated by JC Auto, plus the popular Toonie Hot Dog night.

The Gary Cunningham Memorial is held annually at Merrittville in honor of the renowned engine builder who passed away in 2010 at just 61 years of age. Gary’s competitive spirit lives on in the hearts of many local racers including his son Travis, an accomplished racer in a 360 Sprint Car, who also spent time behind the wheel of a 358 Modified, as well as being a track announcer and podcast co-host.

In the SOS’s previous two visits to Merrittville, this season, Jake Brown and Ryan Turner have picked up checkered flags.

To continue to offer concrete foundations and construction materials to clients using their own manpower and equipment, the staff at Cotton Inc. ensures complete customer satisfaction at competitive rates. This practice has allowed them to continuously grow to better service their customers and become a leader in their field. Cotton Inc.’s success is a direct result of building strong, trusting relationships with current and future clients. Their attention to detail and dedication to professionalism has gained us the reputation of being experts in the foundation and concrete industries. The Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders will all be in competition at “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track”. Capping off the night will be the Tim Hortons Enduro qualifier accelerated by JC Auto.

Pit gates will open at 5 pm, grandstands open at 5:30 pm, and racing will get underway at 7:00 pm Saturday night.
