Roland records fourth-place finish in Southern Nationals opener

With 32 Late Models on the grounds, Roland followed up the second-fastest lap in his time trial group with a heat race triumph. With $10,053 on the line in the feature, Will dropped one spot in the 53-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. He followed Cory Hedgecock, Jensen Ford, and Zack Mitchell across the line with Jacob Hawkins coming in fifth.
The following night at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.), Will's second-place finish in his heat race positioned him on the second row for the main event. With $10,053 on the line, Roland recorded an eighth-place finish in the 53-lapper.
For the third round of the 12-race miniseries on Sunday at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.), Roland edged his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Holding his starting spot, Will Roland posted a 12th-place finish. With three events in the books, Will is currently tied for fourth in the latest Schaffer's Spring Nationals point standings.Back to News
