Stevens Competes in Labor Day Weekend Action
Tyler Stevens kicked off his Labor Day weekend of racing action with a Friday night visit to Crowley's Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Ark.) for the $3,000-to-win Labor Day Classic.
The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model event drew a field of 29 entries. Tyler finished fourth in his heat race to earn the 13th-starting spot for the feature.
He climbed forward five spots in the 40-lap affair to finish eighth.
With the weather looking threatening for Saturday's CCSDS program, the team elected to head north on Saturday to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.).
Thirty-three Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) entries entered the 2022 edition of the Ron Jenkins Memorial.
With a $7,000 top prize on the line, Tyler earned the eighth-starting spot for the feature. He was running sixth in the feature when a broken oil pump sidelined him to a 21st-place finish.
