Robinson records 13th-place finish with LOLMDS at Talladega

Ross Robinson resumed his pursuit for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Rookie of the Year as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) debuted at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday evening for the $15,000-to-win A-Main. (Heath Lawson photos)

Following a fifth-place finish in his heat race, Robinson secured his spot into the main event with a consolation victory. Moving forward four spots in the 50-lap affair, Ross raced to a 13th-place finish.

Ross remains in 10th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
