Cade Dillard bags second win of the season at Texarkana

Cade Dillard picked up his first Super Late Model win of the 2023 season on Friday evening in COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) competition at Texarkana 67 Speedway aboard his S&S Fishing & Rental Inc. / Johnsville Company No. 97 Krohn Farms / Black Diamond Race Car / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

The victory was his second overall on the season, which includes a USMTS Modified win at Ark-La-Tex Speedway back on March 30. Dillard added a runner-up finish on Saturday night in CCSDS action at Rocket Raceway Park.

“I kept looking at it (the outside groove in turns three and four) under caution and I thought there was a little bit left up there, just wasn’t sure and I didn’t want to kill what run I had going,” Dillard explained in Victory Lane on Friday night. “I was being way too conservative there early, and I seen him (Rasdon) start driving away, so I was like well I better make something happen here, just had to get on the wheel and make it happen up there. It was a great night for our team and this car was on point.”

Cade Dillard was back behind the wheel of his Strength Roofing & Siding No. 97 Late Model on Friday evening for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned program at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.).

With a heat race victory placing him on the front row for the feature, Dillard soared past pacesetter Hunter Rasdon near the midway point on the high side and went on to pick up his second win of the season and a $5,000 prize. His fourth-career CCSDS victory came ahead of Rasdon, Kyle Beard, Billy Moyer Jr., and Morgan Bagley.
The following night at Rocket Raceway Park (Petty, Texas), Cade outran Kip Hughes in his heat race to capture the 10-lap win. Racing forward two spots in the $5,000-to-win feature, Dillard recorded a second-place finish, which came behind Kyle Beard with Timothy Culp rounding out the podium.

This week, the team is back on the road with a World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series tripleheader that entails visits to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Thursday for a $10,000-to-win affair and Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday and Saturday for the inaugural Alabama Gang 100, which is capped by a $50,000-to-win finale.
