Ben Nothdurft Memorial next up for RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State Late Models
Brandon, SD (May 25, 2023) - One of the biggest crown jewel events on the schedule is next up for the RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State late Models at one of the premier facilities in all the country.
The Ben Nothdurft Memorial race is back, and shines brighter than ever this Memorial Day. On Monday, May 28 the huge event makes it way back to Huset's Speedway. The Tri-State Late Models will co-headline this huge event with the NOSA 410 Sprints on Monday. The race was originally scheduled to be a $5,000 to win feature, but yesterday Asphalt Pros announced it was kicking things up a notch and the race will now pay an eye-popping $6,000 to win, $3,000 to 2nd, $2,250 for 3rd, and $500 just to start the main event. In addition, the fast timer in qualifying will pick up a $200 bonus.
The series has competed at Huset's Speedway 4 previous times, with 2021 series champion Justin Zeitner winning twice and Trevor Anderson and Tad Pospisil picking up previous wins as well.
The series got off to a hugely successful start last weekend over 3 nights of racing, with Cole Searing, Chad Olsen, and Gary Brown Jr winning so far. Blair Nothdurft will coming into his grandfather's memorial race the current point leader by 18 points over Gary Brown Jr. Top Rookie competitor Chase Richards currently sits 3rd.
