DAHL EARNS POLE POSITION FOR IRON MAN 100

In IMCA Modified Qualifying Feature #1, the feature that would determind the starting line up for the inside row of the Iron Man 100 the following day, pole sitter Quentin Kinzley quickly pulled away from the field. While Kinzley hugged the guardrail, the drivers behind him quickly realized the high side was the fast side. Second place Mark Dahl started to reel Kinzley in and with six laps remaining, passed Kinzley on the high side. Mark Dahl pulled away and cruised to victory to grab the pole position for the Iron Man 100. Quentin Kinzley, who led much of the race, finished in second place. Brady Bjella made a late race pass to finish third ahead of defending race winner, Kollin Hibdon. Jason Wolla, who had an up and down race, finished in the fifth position.
