Jimmy Owens lands Top-10 finish in Winter Nationals opener at All-Tech Raceway
Kicking off his race week on Tuesday evening, Jimmy Owens joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) and recorded a 22nd-place finish in the South Georgia Showdown.
Turning his attention to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Thursday evening, the Koehler Motorsports team joined a 45-car field for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Winter Nationals.
Winning his B-Main to make the $10,000-to-win opener, Owens charged forward 10 positions to score a Top-10 outing in eighth. On Friday evening, Jimmy started eighth in the main event but hit the outside wall and pulled off early in the feature.
With $15,000 on the line for Saturday's finale, Jimmy came away with a 16th-place showing.
