Lancaster Dragway Inducts 5 into Wall of Fame; Crowns 2024 Champions
The annual Lancaster Dragway Awards Banquet was held Friday, November 22 at the Variety Club Banquet Hall. The Class Champions as well as the Inductees onto the Wall of Fame were celebrated with 175 guests present.
The 2024 Class Champions were: TJ Mendola, Mallare-Noltee Racing Top; Mason Fix, Gianni Mazia’s Mod; Mike Peters, Buffalo Choppers Bikes & Sleds; Pat Manners, Big Indian Street, Logan Vitez, Junior Dragster and Frank Klaskov, Senior Nostalgia.
Inducted onto the Wall of Fame were Dale Eckert, Larry Ott, Jim & Marla Reid, and Jim “Stoney” Stoneman. Many Wall of Fame members were present to congratulate them.
Special awards given out included Dedication to Racing (Paul Cochi), Sportsman of the Year (Tim Halas), Outstanding Contribution to Drag Racing (Franco’s Pizza), Alex Friesen Spirit of Drag Racing (Louie Martina), Team Libby Award (Peter Hackett), and Star of Tomorrow Award (Theda Ball). A special award of appreciation was given to track employee Jaki Maracle.
