Midwest Legends Dirt Series

Track ID: Lafayette County Speedway

With the 2nd Midwest Legends Dirt Series season right around the corner, we want to spotlight the tracks we will be visiting throughout the season. Some tracks will be familiar to fans of the MLDS while some tracks will be completely new. Let’s jump in and learn about some fantastic facilities!!

Track ten on the season takes us to the Wisconsin Iowa border for a track that is legendary when it comes to Legend racing, Lafayette County Speedway. The biggest track the series visits in 2025, a challenge is the least to say about this place, where drivers must be on the top of their game always if they want a good result.

Legend racing has always been a staple of the track located in Darlington, Wisconsin. A track that has been open since the 1950s, they’ve hosted racing since then every year for fans in the area. Originally opened as a half-mile, the track converted into its current state early on. The track hosts weekly racing on Friday nights with IMCA sanctioned classes. Legends have made appearances at the track for as long as we can find and have always put on a great show.

In 2024, the track was set to host two races but rain unfortunately ruined the first date. Jackson Lewis picked up the second race up nine spots from where he started. Michael Weber was second with Jordan Miklas in third. In previous years, drivers such as Scott Busch, Austin Winkel, Miklas, and Tristian Furseth have all picked up wins at Speedway.

Two dates are on the calendar in 2025 at the 3/8th clay-oval. June 27th hosts the first night starting a long three-day weekend. The second date is August 1st, starting a two-day stretch for the series.
