Kent sweeps weekend with USL victory at Creek County
By John Rittenoure (Photo by SNP Photography) - KELLYVILLE, Okla. (April 12, 2025) - What started as a battle among family members resulted in a weekend sweep for Johnny Kent in the Ortco, Inc. United Sprint League presented by Danny Smith Auto Repair Saturday at Creek County Speedway.
After posting a victory Friday at Tulsa Speedway Kent backed it up with a late run to the front on Saturday for his second non-wing victory of the season.
When the green flag dropped on the 30-lapperTim Kent drove off the pole and into the early lead. Tanner Conn gave chase for the first 11 laps. On lap 12 Johnny Kent drove around Conn for second. Tim and Johnny Kent ran 1-2 throwing sliders on each other until till Johnny managed to grab the lead with three laps remaining. Conn raced back into second on lap 29 dropping Tim to third at the finish. Ryker Pace followed in fourth and Brock Cottrell was fifth.
