Midwest Legends Dirt Series
Massive May for the MLDS
West Allis, WI (May 1st, 2025) - The month of May has rolled around meaning another month of Midwest Legends Dirt Series action is upon us. Let’s take a look at what's to come for the series this month.
Five events for the MLDS highlight the calendar with the first of said events being at Luxy Raceway. Right away on the 2nd, the series will return to the track that closed out the season in 2024. A non-points night last year was won by Dallas Ross. 14 cars were in attendance with many rookies this season getting some of their first starts at that event. Watch out for some new names at the top of the results perhaps.
A 13-day break awaits the series before the first doubleheader of the season. Thunder Hill Speedway holds the honor on the 16th and 17th. Two nights of racing awaits the series as well as the Rolling Thunder Dirt Legends series. A track that has hosted weekly legend racing in the past welcomes the series with open arms for the first time in the series and track’s history.
Another trip awaits the series out west and then east the next weekend. The series first ever trip to Cedar Lake Speedway takes place on the 24th. Another event in cooperation with the Rolling Thunder Dirt Legends. The night after, the 25th, a trip to 141 Speedway wraps up a busy month for the series. A track that has been a hit for legend cars in the past, the first of four trips for the series awaits.
The final major date for the MLDS in May for the series is May 31st, which is the last day for early registration for the Legends Direct 10K Dirt Showdown. A discounted entry fee and a free dirt tire awaits, but disappears on June 1st. Use the signup link below to be taking to the form, https://form.jotform.com/250927146950057.
Around the racing community, the MLDS’ sister series, the Midwest Legends Asphalt Series, will kick off their season with trips to Marshfield Motor Speedway, Madison International Speedway, Jefferson Speedway, and The Dells Raceway Park. Check that series out on their Facebook page.
