Red Cedar Speedway Set to Open Season Tomorrow, May 9th

After multiple weather-related delays, Red Cedar Speedway is set to officially kick off its 52nd season on Friday, May 9th. The long-anticipated opener promises an exciting evening of racing, community spirit, and special activities in honor of Mother’s Day weekend.

This Friday’s event is presented by Lakeview Floral & Gifts, who joins the Speedway in celebrating mothers throughout the night. From 5 to 7 p.m. (or while supplies last), all moms are invited to enjoy wine and cheese tasting, courtesy of Bill’s Distributing and Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery. In addition, mothers will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for one of two gift baskets, each valued at $150, generously donated by Lakeview Floral & Gifts.

As an added bonus, college students will receive free grandstand admission on Friday with the presentation of a current and valid student ID. This special offer provides students with a perfect opportunity to enjoy a night at the races before heading home for the summer break.

Friday’s season opener will feature all six divisions: WISSOTA Late Models, Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, Street Stocks, and RCS Hornets. Fans can expect a full night of high-energy racing as the first green flag of the year flies at 7 p.m.
