Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series
May 17th visit to Needmore Speedway rescheduled for July 12th
WOODRUFF, SC (May 9th, 2025) – Series officials with the Southern Thunder™ Super Dirt Series (STSDS) have announced that the event originally scheduled for May 17 at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) has been postponed and rescheduled for Saturday, July 12. The move comes as track owner Chance Smith and his wife Mary are expecting the birth of their child this coming week. “We extend our best wishes to Chance and his family during this special time,” said series owner Travis Scott. “Family is what matters most to me, and the last thing Chance’s family should be worried about is the upcoming race. We look forward to being at Needmore in July.”
The next event on the STSDS calendar is the $10,000-to-win Grassy Smith Memorial at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday, June 21.
