Williamson, Tuttle, Pangrazio, Whiteside, and Catalano Win at Ransomville

RANSOMVILLE, NY (May 9, 2025) Mat Williamson from Ridgeway, Ontario picked up his second win of the season at the Ransomville Speedway on Friday night. Cameron Tuttle from Wilson, NY won his first Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature of the season. Josh Pangrazio from Oakfield, NY won his second straight KiPo Chevrolet Street Stock feature of the season. Brad Whiteside from Caledonia, NY won his second straight Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stock feature of the season. Troyer Catalano from Ontario, NY won his first career Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature.

Noah Walker and Chad Brachmann brought the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds to the green flag for their 30-lap feature, with Walker in the lead early, but it was third place starter Mat Williamson taking over the lead on lap one. For several laps, Walker and Gary Lindberg battled for second place, with Brachmann and Zach Payne raced in the top five. The races’ first caution would come out on lap 18 as Steve Lewis Jr slowed in turn one. The restart green would see Gary Lindberg pass Walker for second place, and Zach Payne would pass Brachmann to take over fourth place. Williamson would pull away from the field to earn his second win of the season, and 33rd of his Ransomville 358 Modified career. Mat dedicated the win to wife Nat and baby Brenna who were watching from home.

Cam Tuttle and Steve Miller were on the front row for Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature, with Tuttle in the lead ahead of Derek Wagner, Dave Conant, Brett Senek, and Miller. Jake Bansmer would take over fifth from Miller on lap two. Off a lap three restart, Derek Wagner would take over the lead, as Brett Senek and Jake Bansmer raced for fourth place. Tuttle would regain the lead on lap seven, after passing Wagner off turn four. Tyler Moore brought out the caution on lap 11 as he slowed on the back straightaway. On the restart, Tuttle would have the lead ahead of Wagner, Bansmer, Conant, and Senek. Jake Bansmer would battle with Wagner for second with ten laps remaining. Tuttle would pull away from the field to go on to score the feature win.

Josh Pangrazio and John Zimmerman led the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks to the green flag for their feature event, with Pangrazio into the lead ahead of Zimmerman and Alex Morris. Mike Welch who started at the rear of the field, quickly worked his way into third place on lap two, with Brandon Sherwood, and Damian Long raced behind in the top five. Long would pass both Sherwood and Welch to move into third place at the race’s halfway point. Pangrazio would drive on to score his second straight feature win.

Brandon Close and Matt Hornquist brought the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks to the green flag for their 15-lap main event, with Hornquist taking the lead. Brad Whiteside would battle with Hornquist for several laps for the lead, as Close, Ben Hornquist, and John Carlson raced in the top five. Before the halfway mark, Whiteside would take over the lead. Whiteside would go on to score the win, his second of the season.

Bubby Pawlak and Johnny Zimmerman brought the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman to the green flag with Pawlak in the lead ahead of Zimmerman, and Troyer Catalano racing in third place. Catalano would take over the lead on lap three. Catalano would run the high side of the speedway, with Pawlak on the bottom, with Catalano being able to pull away from the field by lap six. Catalano would go on to earn his first career dirt victory in his first ever appearance at Ransomville Speedway.

Next Friday night, May 16, the stars of the Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series will be rolling into Ransomville for their inaugural visit. Presented by Bateman Construction, the High Limit Racing Series will also be joined by the Empire Street Stock Series for their first visit of 2025. Pit gates will open at 4pm, grandstands at 5pm, with heat in the motors for High Limit scheduled for 6:15pm.
