Rain Forces Postponement at Genesee Kartway; Regular Season Set to Begin June 13

Genesee Kartway officials have announced that due to excessive rainfall this morning, tonight's racing activities have been canceled. Track crews determined that the amount of precipitation received made the racing surface unsafe for competition.

“We’ve unfortunately taken too much rain this morning at the track,” officials stated. “We are going to look into a possible make-up date, so please be on the lookout for updates.”

Looking ahead, the 2025 regular season is scheduled to kick off on Friday, June 13 at 7 p.m., marking the official start of weekly competition at the kartway.

As the new season approaches, racers are reminded that memberships must be purchased by June 13 to be eligible for year-end awards, trophies, and point fund payouts. To qualify, drivers must also compete in at least 50% of scheduled events. Memberships are priced at $50 for the season.

New for the 2025 season, transponders will be required for all competitors. Genesee Kartway has also upgraded its infrastructure with an investment in the MyRacePass system, aimed at enhancing timing and scoring while making race results more accessible for both fans and drivers.

Stay tuned to Genesee Kartway’s official channels for updates regarding a potential rescheduled event date.
