Edwards Jones Investment Night at Salina

Hey race fans! Coming up this Saturday June 14th is Edward Jones Investment night at the Salina Highbanks Speedway. We are encouraging all parents to round up your youngsters and come on out as there will be a fun filled toy toss that will be held at intermission time. Some of the drivers will be tossing goodies to the kids during this intermission break while the racing surface gets prepped for the main events to come. The staff at the Highbanks want to thank the folks at Edward Jones Investment for their gracious support of the kids and the speedway!

Saturday will be round number seven for the NASCAR sanctioned Advance Auto Parts weekly racing series featuring the Servpro of Mayes & Wagoner Counties B-Mods, Dawson Roofing Super Stocks, AmeriFlex Hose Factory Stocks, S&J Plumbing Pure Stocks, Colvin Aircraft Front Wheel Drive Trophy Cars and the Colvin Aircraft Rear Wheel Drive Trophy Cars. Together they will supply a full night of exciting racing action to electrify the evening.

SCRIBBLE NOTES:

King of the hill -
Webb City Missouri's Mitch Keeter, a 3 time feature winner at the Salina Highbanks in the B-Mod division and a track regular, is currently NASCAR's Division-I National points leader. According to NASCAR, 673 drivers have accumulated National points in the nation in the D-1 division and Keeter currently sits on top of the perch in his class. Trevor Ward of Winston Salem North Carolina is 38 points behind Keeter who has six total wins to his credit thus far in 2025.

Non stop raindrops -
For the 5th time this season, water was falling from the skies in the area resulting in last weekend's cancellation of racing activities. Maybe we need to think about an umbrella promotion. As we contemplate that, we want to remind everyone that one of those events, Joe Duvall's Funkadelic Dirt Track & Honky Tonk Extravaganza featuring the USRA Heartland Modified Series along with the USRA American Racer Modified Series is rescheduled for Saturday July 19th. Get your boot kickers on for this one.

Best back seat anywhere -
If you have never tried viewing the racing action from the pit area on the backside of the speedway, try it as you might just like it. Instead of purchasing a grandstand ticket at the main gates, you simply go to the pit area entrance and purchase a pit pass. They are $30 for adults and $20 for kids for the normal weekly shows. Once in the pits, you can roam around and see these racing machines UP CLOSE. Feel free to talk to the drivers or if you're a bit shy, just watch the teams work from just a few feet away. Much like being in the pits at an NHRA drag racing event, you're right there and you're close! Everything you need is in the pits. Concessions, great seating and a quality PA system. It's truly an awesome experience that should be tried at least once.

Wanna get lucky? -
For those newer to the sport / speedway, keep an eye out for a staff member selling "50/50 Tickets". This is very simple. You buy a ticket(s) and the $$$ go into a pot and you get a numbered ticket(s). At some point in the program, a number from a ticket that is drawn will be announced. If you are holding the winning number, you get 50% of the total pot in cold hard CASH! Regular race fans know all about this program and now you do too.

Say it again Sam -
Our last racing event announcement talked about bringing lawn chairs to the races and since the event was rained out, we will repeat ourselves......
While there is seating for nearly 5,000 people in the grandstands, race fans may bring in their own lawn chairs. Come early however as several do choose to do this and space is somewhat limited for lawn chairs that those spots can go quickly at times.

We will see ya there!
