?? RACE CANCELED: USAC East Coast at Penn Can Speedway – July 4th ??
Due to severe storm damage in the Susquehanna, PA area, FRIDAYS July 4th USAC East Coast Sprint Car event at Penn Can Speedway has been canceled.
The Northeast has been hit hard by extreme weather throughout 2025, and unfortunately, this is another heartbreaking instance. A powerful storm swept through Susquehanna earlier today, causing widespread power outages, fallen trees, and significant property damage.
Shortly after the storm, Penn Can Speedway officials notified Series President Ed Aikin that they were unable to safely host the race due to the impact.
“I cannot believe the strange weather and bad luck this season,” Aikin said. “Our thoughts are with the town of Susquehanna and the staff at Penn Can. We hope they can recover quickly and move forward into a strong 2025.”
The USAC East Coast series now turns its focus to the next event: the Iron Cowboy 30 at Action Track USA on Wednesday, July 9th.
