Paddock, Tuttle, Wynes, and Darling Grab 4th of July Wins at Ransomville

RANSOMVILLE, NY (July 4, 2025) Savannah, NY’s Dillon Paddock won the inaugural visit from the CRSA Sprints as Sevenson Environmental and Sunset Bar & Grill presented the 4th of July Spectacular at the Ransomville Speedway Friday night. Cameron Tuttle from Wilson, NY won his second Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature of the season. Jeffrey Wynes from Wilson, NY won the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks feature. Chris Darling from Hopewell, NY won the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature.

Skylighters of New York lit up the sky with a dazzling fireworks display to celebrate the holiday as well as 10 years of ownership of the speedway by the Atwal Family.

Timmy Lotz and Steve Glover brought the CRSA Sprints to the green flag for their 25-lap feature event, with Lotz in the lead. Scott Landers flipped in turn three to bring out the red flag. Landers was alert and talking with safety personnel, but his brand-new X-1 chassis was all torn up. Glover would take over the lead on the restart, as Dillon Paddock, Bailey Boyd, and Darryl Ruggles raced in the top five. Paddock would take over second from Lotz and would then take over the lead from Glover on lap six. Lotz would regain the runner up position after passing Glover on lap nine. Zach Sobotka would take over fifth from Ruggles on lap 12, as Paddock continued to show the way. Paddock would drive away to earn the win, his second on the CRSA Sprints Tour in 2025.

Tyler Moore and Kevin Wills were on the front row for the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature event, with Moore in the lead ahead of Wills, Abby Castile, Steve Miller, and Austin Susice. Cam Tuttle would go three wide to take over second place coming off turn four to take over second place. The caution would come out on lap five as Jim Harbison spun in turn three. On the restart, Moore and Tuttle would battle for the lead, with Tuttle taking over the point on lap six. Trevor Catalano would move into third place on lap eight and would battle with Moore for second place, with Cody McPherson racing behind. Catalano would take over second on lap 13, with McPherson passing Catalano for the position with 10 laps remaining. Tuttle would pull away to win his second feature of the season, and ninth of his Ransomville career.

Ryan Plante and Ben Hornquist shared the front row for the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks feature event, with Hornquist would jump out into the lead ahead of Kenny Zimmerman racing in second place, with Jeffrey Wynes, Brandon Close, and Cole Susice racing in the top five. Brad Whiteside would pass Susice on lap five to take over fifth place. Wynes would pass Zimmerman for second on lap six and on the same lap, would go after race leader Hornquist. Wynes would take over the lead on lap nine. Whiteside would take over second on lap 10 as the caution came out as Ben Hornquist slowed on the front straightaway. Wynes would pull away from Whiteside to earn his second win of the season.

Cole Susice and Chris Darling were on the front row for the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature event, with Darling taking over the lead. Troyer Catalano would go three wide with Kyle Teeter and Susice to take over second place. Darling would pull away from the field and would go on to score his first Ransomville win. A track record 14 Novice Sportsman signed in pitside for competition.

Next Friday night, July 11, Performance Manufacturing presents the Little R Go-Kart Exhibition plus the second visit of the season from the Empire Street Stock Series. A full card of 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Novice Sportsman, and Mini Stocks will also be presented. Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm.

Ransomville Speedway is encouraging all fans and drivers on Thursday July 17 and Friday July 18 to wear pink as we Pink Out the Big and Little R to spread awareness and continue to support General Manager Tana Robinson in her fight against breast cancer.
