Mikulencak Leads Flag-to-Flag at Hunt County Raceway!

(Greenville, TX - July 5, 2025) – After a weather-plagued summer schedule, the American Crate Late Model Series finally roared back to life Thursday night at Hunt County Raceway. With 21 drivers in attendance, all eyes were on the $1,500-to-win feature event and it was Corpus Christi’s Marcus Mikulencak who stole the show.

Rolling off from the outside front row, Mikulencak powered to the lead at the drop of the green and never looked back, pacing all 25 laps en route to a dominant flag-to-flag victory. It marked a triumphant return to action for the Texas veteran, who fended off pressure from pole-sitter Beau Begnaud of Spring, TX, who settled for second. Sinton’s Cody Leonard rounded out the podium in third.

The race wasn’t without movement, as Blue Ridge’s Donnie Shipp charged from ninth to fifth, and Greenville’s own Wendall Bolden picked up five spots to finish 12th after starting 17th, earning him Hard Charger honors alongside Crandall’s Chase Raymond, who climbed from 21st to 16th.

The heat races were paced by Begnaud, Leonard, and Frankston’s Dennie Gieber, while qualifying saw Spring’s Patrik Daniel set the overall fast time in Group 2 with a lap of 14.625 seconds.
