Walton and May Take Victories in CRUSA Action at Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge, LA — July 5, 2025 — The engines roared back to life at Baton Rouge Raceway on Friday night as the stars of the Crate Racin' USA Weekly Racing Series lit up the Louisiana clay. With intense battles across both the Dirt Late Models and Street Stocks, two drivers rose above the rest: Brady Walton and Te Wayne May, each securing hard-fought victories in their respective divisions.
CRUSA Dirt Late Models: Walton Powers to Dominant Win
A field of 10 CRUSA Dirt Late Models took the green for the 30-lap A-Main, and it was Brady Walton in the B2 machine who stole the show. After setting fast time in qualifying with a lap of 15.093 seconds and winning his heat race from the pole, Walton capped a flawless evening by driving from the second row to the front and never looking back.
Mason Jordan (#23) started on the front row and showed speed all night, hanging tough to finish second. The #147 of Ben Davis rounded out the podium with a solid charge from sixth. Notable top-five finishers also included Ryan Boudreaux (4th) and Waylon Vining (5th).
Polesitter Summer Joiner (#9J) had early speed but faded as the laps wore on, coming home eighth. The full field ran clean throughout the night, showcasing the talent and respect that defines CRUSA competition.

CRUSA Street Stocks: May Muscles to the Front
In CRUSA Street Stock action, Te Wayne May put on a clinic in the 10-lap feature. After winning his heat race from the third starting spot, May quickly worked his way to the front in the feature and never relinquished the lead, taking the win from the outside of row one.
Jacob Watson (#25) brought the heat but settled for second, with heat race polesitter Arvin Evans (#9) holding on for third. Behind them, Jeffrey Gaunt and Douglas Buhler rounded out the top five in a spirited mid-pack battle.
