Bryan Hulbert – ELDON, Mo. (April 6, 2021) Taking the weekend to test and tune, Blake Hahn rolled to a third-place finish on Friday and a runner-up Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway with the ASCS Sooner and ASCS Warrior Regions.

“It was a good weekend. We figured out a few things out with the car and felt like we had a shot at the win both nights,” explained Hahn. “I probably could have driven the car harder, but it’s not a National Tour show, and we were there to test for the Memorial Day event.”

Looking back on Friday, the track offered several challenges as the surface progressed to a smoother top and choppy bottom. Airborne at times, Hahn’s main goal was avoiding tearing up the car.

“It was rough, but you could still race it. You just had to be careful. Even having to be a little more apprehensive, we still figured out a few things on the car.”

Seeing a very different racing surface the following night, Hahn was in the middle of a three-car fight for the lead with Dylan Westbrook and Ryan Timms.

“Before I talk about the race, I have to give props to the track crew. The work they did to get the track right for Saturday was very appreciated. I think everyone was impressed on how good the track was compared to Friday because if it wasn’t for that, we couldn’t have raced like we did.”

Taking the lead in the final laps for a moment, Westbrook was able to get clear of the No. 52 to hold the point.

“When we got into turn-one, I wasn’t sure where Dylan was, and I didn’t want to back into his left rear, so I opted to run the bottom. After watching the replay, I could have taken the line away, but in the moment, I wasn’t going to risk destroying both cars when we were both there for the same reason.”

Back with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network this weekend, the Sage Fruit Co./DriveWFX.com No. 52 will be at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La.

The 2021 season is Blake Hahn's 19th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 90 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars. For continued updates on Blake Hahn Racing, log onto http://www.blakehahnracing.com.
