Thornsley wins Hunison Cup Season Opener
Nathan Thornsley won the 23 car class in the season opener Hunison Cup Race. He piloted his Dodge Dart to a win over Alex Van Nice in the final round to take home the prize money and coveted cup trophy.
The Mother's Day season opener featured the Hunison Cup race, a Junior Dragster bracket race with Madison Quintieri taking the prize money, as well as many new cars and drivers getting their licensing done for the season.
Our NASCAR season kicks off this weekend, with open practice Friday night followed by our season opener and Bandolero class debut Saturday. Friday gates will open at 5 and cars will be on track until 8. Admission is $10 for adults, 8 for seniors & military, and $5 for youth.
Saturday will feature our season opener, with gates opening at 3, qualifying at 5 and heat races starting at 6. Admission is just $15 for adults, $12 for Military and seniors, $10 for youth and kids 10 and under are free. We’re located at 5599 S Race Way in Palmer. Thank you and we’ll see you at the races!
