Modified Racing Series
2021 Season Review and Thank You
General Manager message to all,
As the 2021 season ends, I would like to take a few minutes to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the MRS Official’s that have given up countless hours of their time this season. Here’s a list of these great people; Ben Dodge, Bobby Mcilveen (Bobby Mac), Misty Bang, Donny Horvath (Frankie), Dave Brown (Bubba), Leanne Lashua, Daryl Poprosky, John Pettengill (Chip), John Spence (Spider), Tracy Osgood, Devin Posluszny, Valeri Carr, along with a big thanks to Donnie Lashua for getting our tire truck to each and every racing event.
I also want to point out to everyone that without the support of Jack & Eilene Bateman none of this would be possible. THANK YOU BOTH!!
Now, I’d like to take the time to Thank All of the Track Managers/Promoters for allowing us (MRS) the opportunity to compete at your venues this year: Mike Humphrey - Riverside & Adventure Park Speedway, Michelle Cloutier & Jeff Zuidema - Monadnock Speedway, Andy Cusack - Beech Ridge Motorsport Park, Bobby Webber - Star Speedway, Ken Minott, Richard & Vanessa Jordan - Wiscasset Speedway Mike & Tom Mayberry along with Cris Michaud- Oxford Plains Speedway , Mike Parks – Claremont Motorsports park and Joe Bassett - Lee USA Speedway.
I will now like to Thank All of the Sponsors that have contributed to making this season happen, along with thanking those that have contributed funds, components and certificates to our competitors: Milton/CAT, Blue Water Mortgage (Jonathan Ferrante), Red Cup Racing (Don Horvath), Maurice’s Enterprises, The Racing Guys, Joe Gardner & Dodo, Pete Newsham, Chip Pettengill, Lu-Mac Package Store and W.A. Also, we’d all like to give a special Thanks to Daryl Poprosky for his diligent work throughout the year in bringing in a great number of contingency sponsors. This has allowed our competitors to receive extra bonuses at each of our racing events. I for one can’t THANK THIS MAN ENOUGH!!

And finally, I’d like to THANK ALL FIFTY-THREE COMPETITORS that have competed at one or more MRS Events. Without your participation we would not have had such a successful season. It’s our belief that we put on some of the best Modified Racing in New England. We have a remarkably diverse group of drivers running in our events. The variety of competitor’s that ran in this year’s nine feature events gave us four (4) first time race winners: Brian Robie, Jacob Perry, Rusty Poland, and Matt Kimball. I take considerable pride in saying that this series is very Competitive! THANKS TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!!
We’re diligently working on our 2022 racing schedule and looking at having an 8 to 10 race schedule. Also, we’re pursuing a Title Sponsor along with continuing to work with Race Event Sponsors. As always, we truly value your input, so let’s make next year races just as competitive as they were this year. We’ll continue working at being one of the racer’s friendlier series to compete on.
Again, we’re all looking forward to an awesome future together. The success of the Modified Racing Series (MRS) future will only be done by us all working together as a team.
