Deskins Edges Davis for Canyon Victory
Bryan Hulbert - Peoria, Arizona (October 19, 2012) Advancing from the fourth spot, Shon Deskins made things thrilling on night one of the Southwest Championships at the Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Arizona.
Taking advantage of a bobble on the part of Charles Davis Jr. on the final lap, the No. 20 of Deskins manipulated the inside line on Davis, turning the final lap of the night’s feature event into a drag race with Deskins narrowly edging Charles Davis Jr. for the win.
Josh Pelkey and Michael Bonneau completed the to five with Bruce St. James, Rick Ziehl, Rob Ream Jr., Andrew Reinbold, and Casey Schuman completed the top ten.
