UMSS Sets Non-wing Series Informational Meeting and Mora Motorworks Offers UMSS Engine Discount

Stillwater, MN (12-12-10)

The Upper Midwest Sprintcar Series (UMSS) has set the date for an informational meeting for their new non-winged sprint car series that was just recently announced. The meeting will take place at Joe Senser's Sports Bar & Grill in Roseville, MN on Saturday, January 8, 2011 starting at 11:00 AM. UMSS co-founders Joe Kouba and Ron Bernhagen will be on hand along with several other series officials and sprint car supporters to discuss plans for the new non-winged series along with details regarding the engine package. Anyone interested in learning more about this exciting form of racing and its long-awaited return to several area race tracks via the UMSS are encouraged to attend. Joe Senser's Sports Bar & Grill is the same place where the UMSS held its two October meetings and is conveniently located near the junction of Highway 36 and I-35W in Roseville.

A great offer from Mora Motorworks will certainly continue to generate interest in the UMSS non-winged series. Travis Jehlicka, owner of Mora Motorworks and the first series sponsor, is offering a $500 discount off the purchase of a UMSS non-winged sprint car engine from Mora Motorworks from now until January 15, 2011. Travis stated, "I have received a number of inquiries already, and in order to continue to help promote the new series, I decided to extend this offer to those interested in purchasing an engine for the new non-winged series." This offer applies only to the UMSS engine package for the non-winged series and does not apply to any other offers or any other racing divisions served by Mora Motorworks. It is strictly for the UMSS. Contact Travis Jehlicka at (320) 225-0075 or visit them on the web at www.moramotorworks.com for more information.

The UMSS continues to work on its 2011 schedule and other items of interest for both the winged and non-winged series. "Interest generated since the announcement of the engine rules and the official press release launching the wingless series has been phenomenal," stated UMSS co-founder Ron Bernhagen. "By early indications, this has the potential to grow much quicker than I had envisioned, and with great partners like Mora Motorworks, the new series has a solid foundation on which to build and grow," continued Bernhagen. The UMSS awards banquet will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Running Aces Harness Park located in Columbus, MN. More information about the UMSS can be found on their website at www.umsprints.com or by checking them out on Facebook.
