Update from the Legend's Shop: 10/8/2018
We had a very successful Road Course driving school this past Saturday. Several first time drivers came out and really did a nice job. All 15 drivers in the school are expected to be back with our regular race teams on October 20th for our 1st road course event of this season. Remember we will use the full road course track just as we did in the school and that certainly adds to the excitement that can be expected.
We also want to remind everyone that Saturday October 13th is Championship night at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele and we certainly want to close out the 2018 racing season in Cordele with a good turnout. Some of the Division points races have come down to this last event and it will be fun watching how those Championships play out. Mr. Lyle and his staff have been good to us this season and have indicated they want us back next year for Speedfest 2019 and many of their weekly shows during next year. It is a good thing that we have Cordele as a support track to our Legends and Bandolero racing program in Georgia, so let’s all make a special effort to attend this Saturday. I’m hearing our own Timmy Hutson will be in Cordele Saturday to flag on Championship night.
We have also announced that the 2018 Team Challenge event will be November 3rd at AMP in Dawsonville. Be sure to get those pre-entry forms in to us and also get your Team Challenge list of drivers turned in soon. We hope to have at least 5 different Legends and Bandolero teams signed up for the Team Challenge competition prior to the Dawsonville races. No cost to enter a team and it is pretty neat to be added to the Plaque that has a permanent spot in the Legends office as a winning team member.
Our office will be closed Friday October 12th as the infield will be preparing for the weekend Atlanta Air Show. We will have the parts trailer in Cordele Friday afternoon and hope to see you there this weekend.
